Her name is on the list of Ogun governorship aspirants. Everybody believes the Ogun State Deputy Governor, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele will contest for governorship. But will she run? That is the big question.

The Ogun State Reformists Group has formally called on her to present herself as a candidate for the gubernatorial ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming Ogun State governorship election.

A chartered engineer and public health expert, she is an alumna of globally respected institutions, including the University of Lagos and Imperial College London. With over three decades of professional experience spanning engineering consultancy, contracting, and real estate development, she has demonstrated rare competence in both the private and public sectors.

Born on January 8, 1966, and hailing from Aworiland in Ota, within Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area, she possesses deep cultural roots and strong grassroots connection to Ogun State. As the daughter of the late Prof. Lateef Akinola Salako, a renowned academic and professor emeritus of pharmacology and therapeutics, she embodies a legacy of excellence, discipline, and intellectual distinction.

As Deputy Governor since 2019 under the leadership of Dapo Abiodun, she has played a pivotal role in advancing governance in Ogun State. Her contributions in public health engineering, environmental sustainability, and housing development have significantly improved the quality of life for many citizens.
